Welcome to our Pool!!!
We want to make sure you make the most of the pool and hot tub. Here are some quick instructions to help you understand how everything works.
Things to know. . .
There is no lifeguard on duty, so please swim at your own risk and please supervise young children while in the pool area.
Please NO GLASS in the pool area!!! We've made pool safe plates, cups, coffee mugs, and even fun silicone cups available under the microwave in the kitchen or behind the hallway door in the pantry (There's also a great blender in the kitchen for margaritas!). If glass breaks in the pool, we have to drain the whole pool to make sure we are able to remove all the broken pieces, so please don't bring glass into the pool area.
Feel free to move chairs and umbrellas around for your use, but we ask that you please return them where they belong for the next house guests.
Pool is operated and controlled by it's own Automation System. If for some reason you are having trouble with the Pool, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Management Company

The Pool
We hope you love and enjoy the pool as much as we do! It is the families favorite place to hang day or night
Things to Know:
The pool has it's own automation and control system that can be remotely monitored and adjusted by our Management or Pool Company.
The filter pump is on a set schedule and will turn on and off automatically.
The heater is also digitally controlled and will turn on and off as required to maintain the pool temperature while the filter pump is running.
You'll know when the filter pump is on and filtering the pool as the filtered water is returned to the pool via 3 jets in the pool and 3 jets in the hot tub. So when you see the waterfall flowing from the hot tub into the pool, the system is filtering the water and working as designed.
Our Pool Care team typically comes twice a week on Tuesday's and Friday's to clean and service the pool. They will enter through the back golf course gate, come in and empty the skimmer, vacuum and clean the pool, check the chemicals, and perform any needed maintenance and are usually are on and off the property in 30 minutes.
If a storm has blown any debris into the pool and you would like to scoop it out there is a net on the inside wall of the filter pump area for you to use.
Pool Noodles and floats are also stored behind the half wall for your use.
If you're paying for pool heating, please note that the pool heats between 7 am and 4 pm. If you use the hot tub during this time, be sure to turn it off when you're done. This allows the system to switch back to pool mode so the pool heating can resume. Keep in mind, the pool cannot be heated when the system is in hot tub mode.
Don't forget to turn on the tree lights at night while you'er in the pool for some fun ambiance. Tree lights are controlled by a timer located to the left of the master slider door as you're walking outside.
To turn on Tree Lights: Choose the length of time you're going to be out there and click the button.
To turn off Tree Lights: Select 1 minute and it will go off in 1 minute, or you can press it twice and it will turn off immediately.
The Hot Tub
The hot tub is an excellent place to wind down at night after a long day of fun, or for me personally, the place I love to be in the morning and have my coffee (In a pool safe mug of course :-)
Things to Know:
The hot tub is set to 101°F
When the hop tub is running, you'll notice the waterfall will stop, as the water will be recirculated from the hot tub, to the filter and heater, and then returned directly back to the hot tub.
It can take 15 to 20 minutes depending on the temperature of the pool for the hot tub to come up to temperature. In the mornings, I like to go turn on the tub and then prepare my coffee, grab my towel and head back out.
While the hot tub is heating, the red light on the spa side remote control with flash a red light on and off.
Once the red light is solid, you'll know the hot tub is at temperature.Once the hot tub is activated, it will run for 1 hours and then turn back off and resume normal pool operations. If this happens and you're not finished, simply turn the hot tub back on. Please remember to turn off when finished. Thank You!
How to turn the Hot Tub on and off
Here I'll show you how to turn the hot tub on and off and I'll also explain what's happening in the background so you understand how the pool system works.
See the following steps below:
1.) Hot Tub Control Location
The hot tub control is located on the half wall near the back of the pool equipment next to the "Swim At Your Own Risk" sign.
2. ) Pool / Hot Tub Control
Open the clear cover and press the #1 button labeled "WHIRLPOOL". This is the button that turns the pump on and sets the valves in the correct position for either hot tub or pool.
***Please only press this button once, the process can take up to a minute to complete the sequence change!
3.) Valves Will Turn Automatically
If the pump is running and is already in pool mode, the pump will need to turn off before the system can turn the valves - This can take 5-10 seconds after pressing the button.
Once the pump is off, the valves will switch the water flow from from the pool to only the hot tub.
Switching the valves takes another 30 seconds . Once the vales have switched it can take another 15-20 seconds before the pump starts again and activates the hot tub.
Please be patient, as the whole process takes about 1 minute to complete.
4.) Sit Back, Relax, and Enjoy the Hot Tub
Once the vales turn, and the pump kicks back on, you're all set!
5.) Control Light will Flash Red While Spa Heater is On
Now that the hot tub is on, the heater will kick on and off automatically to raise the hot tub to the set temperature of 101°.
While the heater is running, you will see the red light flash on and off.
When the light changes to a solid red light, you'll know that the spa is at the correct temperature.
(Please note, if you're in the spa for a while, the heater will continue to kick on and maintain temperature).
6.) All Done, Here's how to turn off the spa
When you are finished with the hot tub, please go to the control and Press #1 "Whirlpool" Button to begin the process of switching back to the normal pool operation.
Important Note:
If the control is blinking, then the heater is on and the hot tub is in a heating cycle.
Please note that the spa will not turn off right away, but will continue to run for 5 minutes and complete the cool down cycle before it turns off and resets to pool mode.
If you turn the spa off and it doesn't shut off immediately, know that it will turn off once it completes the cool down process. Do not press the button again, otherwise it will remain in spa mode.
Thanks!
Pool Umbrellas
Palm Springs' weather can change in an instant or without notice. We can be subject to high winds or gusts that come out of the blue. In October 2022 we even had a haboob (Sand storm) come through with very little notice. They usually only last a short while, but can easily knock umbrellas over and break them.
Please do not leave umbrellas up unattended, and please tie them when you put them down.
Thank you!
